May – Bank Holidays, sunshine and summer is around the corner! Lunch outside anybody?

We are pleased to announce a change at Silver Shemmings! From the middle of May we will be known as Silver Shemmings Ash and Ryland Ash becomes our Managing Partner. We will have a new website, www.silverllp.com,  which will also allow for online bookings for all of our Seminars if required.

Other news – NEC4 is coming (22nd June release date)! We will be running two Seminars on Wednesday 28th June – One Breakfast Seminar (7.45am – 9.30am) and one Evening Seminar (6pm – 7.30pm). If you would like to book a place on either event please email seminars@shemmingsllp.co.uk, stating your preference for ‘BSem’ or ‘ESem’

We also welcome a new Team member this month, Elena Christodoulou who will be joining the Legal Secretary Team to help look after our Lawyers and Solicitors.

Programme:

Henry Hathaway will present this one day programme, a practical guide to delegates giving them confidence in approaching and dealing with design and design related issues. He will cover the concept and legal status of design, the standards expected of a designer, duties of care and the duty to warn, and negligence. The focus will be on the standard forms of contract and how best to manage the risks in relation to design.

Agenda 9.30am – 5.00pm:

  • Interpretation of standard forms of contract and consultancy agreements
  • Looking at the duty to warn and negligence
  • Protecting parties with design obligations

Delay Analysis Techniques Workshop – Two Day Event – 6th & 7th June 2017

£595 per person plus VAT

Day 1Henry Hathaway will give an overview of the principles of entitlement and establishment under the rules, analyse the Standard Contract provisions and what they mean, analyse the different methods of delay analysis and the rules of defending a claim for extra time.

Day 2 – Drill down into specific issues you are currently experiencing (you will be required to submit an outline prior to the event running)
