Silver Shemmings are very excited to announce the coming together of two of the City’s friendliest of rivals and subsequent growth of our newly formed property law sector, headed up by Niall Boland. Niall joins us at Partner level after a wealth of experience working at Healys LLP as well as some of the City’s biggest law firms. Niall has also brought on board Matthew Bosworth, who is an experience Legal Executive Lawyer coming from property law giant, Charles Russell Speechlys LLP.
After many years of working on projects together throughout the City of London, Niall and Matthew decided to venture from their respective roles to join the firm and grow their business.
Together, Niall and Matthew are now combining their knowledge and experience to grow Silver Shemmings LLP from its current stature as a formidable construction law outfit within the City of London, to a mid-sized, specialist construction and property firm.
The team have a particular shared knowledge of high net worth and ultra-high net worth conveyancing across some of London’s most notable developments. This entails every aspect of property law, including contracts for acquisition as well as disposals of contract interests for investors. Together, they have the capability to assess the current market position as well as dealing with subsisting contracts for investors and advising how best to proceed to maximise the growth potential.
Niall’s background rests extensively with residential matters, but he also has vast experience in dealing with commercial property matters, site and building acquisitions & development agreements, renewable energy sites and share purchase agreements.
Matthew brings with him a wealth of experience in dealing with international high net worth finance deals as well as offshore structuring. He has acted on behalf of many of the world’s largest lending banks to secure finance against property portfolios. During recent years, he has seen the horizon of the property market change in the wake of continued stamp duty land tax changes and has been able to adapt his clients’ positions to guide them through the most efficient ways of holding or disposing of property assets.
We welcome the two of them to the firm and look forward to reporting further on their business wins and progress.
